Clients often comment that I must be an exceptional guitarist since I'm constantly surrounded by guitars. The truth is that I rarely get to practice much these days as time in the shop needs to be productive, and that means getting instruments turned around quickly. But the beauty of repairing guitars is that I get to sample a variety of freshly set up guitars. Every once in a while I take some time to enjoy this luxury and play around for a bit. Above is a brief clip of such a session with my two favorite toys; a Fulltone Tube Tape Echo and a Boomerang Phrase Sampler.
The gear used: Fulltone Tube Tape Echo (TTE), a Boomerang+ Phrase Sampler and a Tele (don't remember the specs as I've had a long run of Tele's coming through the shop lately) all into my trusty drip-edge 1968 Fender Vibrolux Reverb. Shot on my vintage iPhone 4s.
Serious fun for hours. Now get back to "work"!
