Sloppy Fret Level :: 1991 Gibson Lucille [9.9 lbs]
A 1991 Lucille in the shop to address some high frets, especially up high on the neck. Someone filled the substantial gaps between the raised frets and board on a previous refret. Many of these frets look like they were laminated with a black line. I'm guessing that they did not properly match the fret radius to the fingerboard (frets too flat) and ended up filling in the gaps with ebony dust later.
The pickup covers were removed at one point, so the player decided to have them reinstallled. A great sounding guitar, but has some decent weight to her. She'd be a tough one to drag out of a house fire per the legend of BB King's guitar (RIP).
