1983 Ibanez AM-255 Artist :: neck finish repairs, inlay replacement and set up.
The face of the headstock was badly scratched so it was wet sanded and buffed back out. The barrel of the neck was covered with dents and dings that were distracting to the player’s left thumb. These dings were filled, leveled, wet sanded and buffed. The repairs were not cosmetic, but left the neck feeling smooth again. The 9th fret’s center faux abalone inlay was partially sanded through in a prior fret job, so it was routed out and a new abalone inlay cut and installed.
