A beautiful lightly battered 70's P bass in for a setup. There was a broken lead that grounded the brass shield in the floor of the pickup cavity so that needed to be reconnected. This is another bass that belongs to the the recent G&L ASAT that came through the shop, so it was set up similarly for pick.

An early 2000's P bass in for a setup. No major issues, just a few tweaks. Love this semi-transparent seafoam-ish finish.
Output Jack & Setup :: 2004 Squire P Bass [8.0 lbs]
This P bass came in with the pickguard not screwed down, the output jack disconnected and missing the control knobs. I installed a new higher-quality-than-stock Switchcraft jack, new pickguard screws and new knobs. I also gave this bass a good cleaning along with adjusting the neck and action.
Skunk Stripe Repair :: 2001 Fender Precision Bass Special [9.1 lbs]
The walnut "skunk stripe" had raised up and become proud of the neck. This walnut strip had settled to where it wants to be over the years due to a poor fit (and possibly dry joint when built). The strip did not move when clamped so I didn't like the idea of heating and clamping it flush (most likely introducing more stresses). I ended up cutting away the flakey finish between the walnut and maple and filling wood gap with dust and superglue, then top coating the repair with just superglue. Finally, the area was wet sanded and buffed out.
Raised skunk stripe :: 2001 Fender Precision Bass Special
The walnut "skunk stripe" on this P bass is proud of the neck. It is fairly distracting to your left thumb while playing, so it will be glued down and blended in with the rest of the maple neck.
