This pickup literally got knocked the fuck out! If you have been following me for a while you will recognize that this is the same blueish green metallic beat-to-hell-and-back SG back for more. It dropped in earlier this week for yet another fix for tonight's New Year's gig. This time the player punched in the bridge pickup at a show! He knocked it so hard that he broke 4 strings and bent the pickup's mounting tab and stripped out the screw. I've been trying to put together one big blog post with all of these repairs and every time I get ready to post it's back in the shop for something new. I've grown to love working on this beast!

This 1960's Aria Barney Kessel is back in for another neck set issue. I re-glued the top to the block a few weeks ago but the plywood neck block decided delaminate through one of the plies. I ended up filling the gap with epoxy in an attempt to stabilize the neck joint (video below). Fingers crossed!
Pre-tour tune up :: 2001 Gibson SG [7.3 lbs]
Jonathon of Tigerman WOAH dropped by to have his SG checked out for an upcoming run down to Nashville, TN. Those who have been following the shop for some time will recognize this well-played workhorse. It's been in for a broken control cavity, broken headstock, broken strap button screws, etc. This time it was in for a high fret. Check out the vlog to see the problem fret addressed.
Bad Bridge Fit :: 1960's Aria Barney Kessel
The floating archtop bridge foot has what I'm guessing is green felt soaked with superglue. Though the bridge foot is fairly thin, I'll try to burn through most of this nastiness while improving the fit with the top.
Gibson's in for repairs recently :: LP Double Cut & SG
I've had quite a few back-to-back Gibson repairs in the shop lately. The 2003 Les Paul Double Cut Faded was in for a broken headstock and the 2001 SG most recently was in for a broken strap button. Not pictured above was a 2002 ES-333 for an intermittent pickup and broken tuners. Coincidentally, all three of these guitars had their broken headstocks repaired at some point.
