Pulling dents & closing cracks :: 1971 Guild D25M

This side crack was damaged during shipping (shown here).  Here is a dent that is being pulled shut with a guitar string, a cleat puller and a mahogany cleat inside the guitar.  The spool clamps are closing the remaining crack.  Next up will be installing a few more cleats on this crack, then addressing a couple other side cracks.

1962 Guild M-20 [3.7 lbs] :: bridge reglue & top touch up

1962 Guild M-20 [3.7 lbs] :: bridge re-glue & top touch up

The combination of the Fishman magnetic sound hole pickup and drop DGDGBD, this guitar sounds incredible.  This player needed the bridge re-glue turned around quickly as he will be playing at a friend's wedding.

*Note the airplane in the photo.  My shop is south facing and right under Boston's Logan Airport flight path.  Sometimes when the sun is in the right position planes will eclipse the sun and almost blackout the shop.

Coincidentally the owner is stopping by tomorrow before he picks someone up at the airport.

Late 1960’s Guild S-100 Polara with a built-in stand!

Edit:  I was mistaken, this is a S-100 Polara, not a S-200 Thunderbird.  The Thunderbird has a slightly different body shape, Jaguar-style switches and block fingerboard inlays.  The same pickups are used on both models.
