The center seam on the back was open and needed to be glued and supported. Most acoustic guitars have an internal "seam strip" that reinforces the glue joint of the two halves of the back. This model does not so I needed to fit and install a couple to keep the joint closed. One ran from the neck block to the first brace and another between the first and second back braces. Note that Tacoma uses an upper bout soundhole so these repairs were a little more difficult to pull off versus a traditional soundhole.

Bridge re-glue, center seam & sound hole crack :: 1996 Martin HD-28 [4.9 lbs]
A player is taking his Martin along with him for an extended time down to Grenada (island in the Caribbean), so he stopped by for a check-up beforehand. The bridge was coming up so it was removed, cleaned up and re-glued. An existing top crack repair was coming apart so I removed a single cleat, glued up the crack and splinted it (fit a sliver of wood into the crack). Lastly a sound hole crack was reinforced. All ready for the island!
Bridge removal & old top crack repair :: 1996 Martin HD-28
Refitting a failing bridge glue joint along with a top crack.
Sharp fret ends & center seam crack :: 2014 Maton EBG808C "Michael Fix" [4.3 lbs]
Another victim of a long, dry New England winter. The fret ends were sticking out from the unbound fingerboard and the top's center seam had opened up slightly just behind the bridge. The fret ends were dressed and the top crack humidified closed, glued and cleated along with a minor finish touch up.
